November has flown by!  Enjoy the pictures below that show some of the fun things we've enjoyed over the past few weeks:

Reading Buddies:
We love our kindergarten Reading Buddies in Mrs. Phillips' class!  The 3rd graders absolutely loved preparing for and then reading to their kindergartener.  We can't wait for our next visit!

 

 

Classroom Economy:

Students visited the 3rd Grade Bank  and shopped at the 3rd Grade Store for the second time.  Below are a few pictures from our banking day.

Margaret Peterson Haddix Visit:

To prepare for the visit from Ms. Haddix, I read aloud the chapter book Dexter the Tough.  It sparked many great conversations and helped us practice our inferring skills quite a bit.  It was a much loved read aloud!  We were really excited to meet Margaret Peterson Haddix.  She had great advice about where to find ideas as an author and answered a bunch of our questions.  It was a really special time.

 

 

Indoor Recess:

Thanks to the early snow and frigid temperatures, we've had LOTS and LOTS of opportunities for indoor recess fun this week! :)
